At the California Guild Hall

3830 U Street, Sacramento, CA (map)

There are three Grange buildings on the property. Come in the rear entrance of the single-story white “house” with a vegetable garden in front.

Celebrate National Nutrition Month with SVS! We’ll share some of our favorite sources of solid, science-based nutrition information (and great recipes!). The good news is, no matter what your motivation for choosing more animal-free, plant-based options in your diet—ethical, environmental, health, spiritual, or esthetic concerns— a diet (and lifestyle) free of animal products is what will get you there.

We’ve selected a few of Dr. Michael Greger’s short, informative, entertaining videos (from nutritionfacts.org) to show after dinner.

Is there a nutrition topic you want to cover? Let us know! As always, there will be plenty of time for discussion and socializing.

Potluck. Bring:

• • a vegan* dish to feed at least six (*plant-based items only—no animal products, e.g., eggs, dairy products, fish, poultry, meat, honey);

• your plate, bowl, cup, eating and serving utensils;

• a list of ingredients/recipe.

Baffled by “vegan”? Don’t know what to fix? We can help. Drop us a line right here or at sacveggie@gmail.com.

Parking: Free, off-street, and lots of it. Just one block from the T Street bike path.

Everyone is welcome. Bring your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, etc.!
